Community Services

School Based Programs:

School based programs include the following:

  • A Police Officer is a Friend and Community Helper for grades JK through grade one.
  • Elmer the Safety Elephant Safety Program is presented to students from JK through grade three; Safety Patrollers are sworn in and introduced to the primary students at this time.
  • Values, Influences and Peers is taught at the grade five level.
  • At the Grade 3 through 8 levels various programs are offered including Bullying, Anger and Harassment.
  • School Bus Safety and Emergency Evacuation is presented to grade JK through grade eight in cooperation with the five school bus service providers at the request of each school
  • Impact Program (Impaired Minds Produced By Alcohol Cause Trauma) is presented to grade 11 classes
  • Dating Shouldn’t Hurt: (A Domestic Violence Educational Program) is presented to grade nine and ten level students upon request. This program is delivered in cooperation with Chatham Probation and Parole and the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre Inc.
