Volunteering

The Chatham-Kent Police Service has very few volunteer positions available. This is due to a combination of the security concerns in a police environment and the fact that we provide positions for co-operative education students at both the high school and college levels.

Those seeking co-op placements should contact their school placement coordinator. A police record check will be required. Co-op students will not be doing ride-alongs with police officers but will be working in clerical positions.

We encourage those who are seeking volunteer positions to consider the Chatham-Kent Victim Services. This organization assists victims of crime and work closely with our police service. They can be reached at 519-436-6630.
