District 1

District 1 encompasses the Town of Wallaceburg west to the Walpole Island and north to Kent Line (Chaham-Kent border) and east along the northern border to Dawn Mills Road., and continues in a south westerly direction along Countryview Line extending west across Rivard Line to Lake St. Clair.  District 1 also includes the Town of Dresden, Tupperville, Grande Pointe and Mitchell's Bay.  The District is broken up into 3 main patrol zones:

• Zone 101 - includes the west half of Wallaceburg from the north branch of
  the Sydenham River extending west to Walpole Island, north to the Kent Line and south to Baseline Road.

• Zone 102 - includes the eastern half of Wallaceburg from the north branch of the Sydenham River easterly to Mandaumin Road,(including Tupperville) north to the Kent Line and south to Baseline Road.

• Zone 103 - includes all the rural area east and south of zones 101 and 102 including the Town of Dresden, Mitchell's Bay, Grande Pointe and Dover Centre.

Sergeant Mike Curran

Along with Sergeant Curran, District 1 has 16 frontline patrol officers currently assigned to its compliment and one Community Service officer. Records staff includes five full-time data entry clerks and one records management clerk.

The Wallaceburg Office is staffed 24/7 at all times. The District 1 fleet consists of five fully marked police cruisers and one Community Service vehicle.
