Dog Service
The Chatham-Kent Police Dog Service is deployed on patrol both during
the day and night shifts. These officers with their K-9 partners respond
to calls for service similar to any other police officer within the
municipality. Additionally they are called upon for high-risk suspect
apprehension, tracking both suspects and missing persons as well as
article or evidence searches. The police dogs also assist officers with
building clearing for possible suspects during an alarm or actual break
and enter.
Rebel and Bounty are the two newest members of the Chatham-Kent Police
Service.
Rebel is two years old and weighs about 93 pounds and his handler is
Constable Brad Molnar. Bounty is eighteen months old is paired up with
new team member Constable Larry Johnson.
